A significant part of PHD’s work is facilitating affordable home ownership for first time buyers, key workers and others who find it difficult to enter the housing market. We have also developed expertise in older persons housing, enabling older people to find suitable housing alternatives without relinquishing ownership. PHD works closely with independent financial advisors and solicitors to help first time buyers through the process of buying a home. In addition, specialist sales staff are employed on site, to guide buyers through the process.
Within PHD, Plus Dane Group also acts as one of the government’s Homebuy Agents for affordable homes in the North West. This ‘one stop shop’ approach provides the specialist knowledge needed to guide buyers through the process and helps simplify the complex range of products, services and government initiatives available in the Merseyside region.
In addition Harvest Housing, through their Outlook Homes division, has delivered 550 new homes working in partnership with national house–builders to complete Section 106 planning agreements with local councils. This has made a significant contribution to meeting the needs of the intermediate housing market between traditional customers and those who can’t afford to buy outright.
