PHD has a unique role to play in urban regeneration and is committed to a partnership approach to supporting communities. Our partners have in-depth knowledge of their neighbourhoods and the social issues facing them, enabling PHD to offer a strategic role in wider community regeneration. We encourage our partners to pool their resources and work across organisational boundaries. We are ideally placed to support regeneration activities that extend beyond housing such as social enterprises, start–ups and training opportunities.
PHD uses its skills in development to help create sustainable communities in urban regeneration projects, complementing the government’s Housing Market Renewal (HMR) Pathfinder programme in Merseyside and Manchester. We have a proven track record in all aspects of urban regeneration from securing enough funding to make an impact to estate management once the properties are built or refurbished.
